About VICTORY OVER DEPRESSION Blog

wp-image-1836031700jpeg.jpegThis blog is to provide comfort, support, prayer, edification, and victory through any trial – especially depression.

The blog is to show that JESUS CHRIST is the Victory Over Depression that everyone can experience – CHRIST IN YOU.

Drawing on decades of my own life with severe, clinical depression, I now have the Victory Over Depression because JESUS CHRIST LIVES IN ME.

I pray you find the same fulfillment & victory.

  1. Can you write a post about relationships? Getting victory from the Lord when the devil tries to play on your emotions in relationships. i would really appreciate it.

  2. I am grateful for bob addressing this topic!

Depression in this life is real and should not be a surprise when one considers how far our nation and world has drifted away from God toward secular humanism and families becoming fragmented. Ad this this job insecurities and it can be scary out there.

Thankfully there still are millions of people who love the Lord and spread good news about Jesus to our lost world.

The priorities of this world, with focus on money at all costs, acceptance of alternative lifestyles and bullying of Christians is reaching a dangerous threshold. We are forgetting how to forgive one another and with advanced technology we are becoming more estranged one another in person. We can’t live fulfilled lives as robotrons.

Keep preaching and sharing your story and testimony, Bob!!

  3. Thanks for sharing this. Would love to hear more of your testimony. I’ve battled with anxiety and still do.

  4. Thank you for your blog and your burden!

  6. THE ONLY WAY TO GET OVER DEPRESSTION IS TO TURN BACK TO THE ONLY LORD JESUS AND DO ALL HE TELLS YOU TO DO

  7. I’ve have faced depression my whole life, and adhd, and bipolar.

  8. I can’t find the blog. I am new to this. Can someone show me? Thank you!

  9. Depression really does impact most of us during various seasons of our lives.

Sadly, I think many people in our modern world have access to just enough distractions to avoid dealing with the hurt, pain, and in some cases trauma inside.

Personally, I choose to be drug and alcohol free so that I can enjoy natural highs and feel the sorrows of life that can deepen our souls and help us empathize with others.

My personal sadness is not having children of my own and now in my early 50s it is too late. I live in the pacific northwest and my estranged family and cousins live east.

I sometimes feel depressed after reaching out with phone calls, emails, post cards and texts, with barely a reply from extended family. Thankfully I have my faith, yet I find myself asking God why He couldn’t have placed me within a circle of family members who love one another and reach out.

Both of my parents have passed on and so have most uncles and aunts. Other than my wife whom I love, and a few casual acquaintances at church, I am basically on my own in this world. After my mother passed away a few years ago, old friends even disappeared. It is strange.

Yes, I have God, but sometimes it’s nice to talk to people you can see, not that the invisible God and Jesus aren’t real. And on certain days in nature they reveal themselves through the majesty and wonders of beautiful mountains, lakes and trees and wildlife and colors in the sky and the day sparkles with joy!

Perhaps there are others out there who understand this type of hard ache and are willing to share a snippet of their story.

    Blessings all.

  10. John, your transparency is a blessing.
    Many are blessed by it.
Very painful it is the personal experiences we encounter. Yours is very painful.
The beauty is you realize the reality of God in your life is key for your victory and recovery. This is even despite the pain and loneliness you go through.
I pray God continue to grow and heal you within through the reality of Christ in you.

    • Hi, Tanya.
Yes I do accept guest blogs. After all that God has done for me, I cant even imagine charging a cost.
I don’t have specific guidelines, just as long as they help people.
Also, depending on the heme and content, I would probably limit the amount of blog posts one make.
I don’t want to distract from the primary goal of this blog – CHRIST IN You is Victory Over Depression.

      God bless you.
