Beware “The Christian Wolf And The Poisonous Snake”

Image

The Christian Wolf or The Poisonous Snake is an oxymoron title.  They are the same.  He may be a Christian, but within he is a venomous snake preparing to strike when the time is right.

The unfortunate thing (and I was such a stupid, gullible victim) is that many Christians easily trust someone they meet in church or ministry, or who simply say they are Christian.  This is one of the successful traps Satan uses to lure the Body of Christ into his clutches.

The “Christian” wolf will wiggle his way into your confidence with an outward display of Christian maturity.  He could even become a part of your inner Christian circle of friends.

However, within him is the cravings of evil ready to pounce.  The poisonous snake is waiting to bite you with his venom.  If you know anything about a venomous snake bite, you know once it gets into your system it takes a long time to recover from.  Some don’t recover at all.

The venomous bite I received stung and hurt me deeply.  It took many years to recover from.  In fact, I am still recovering though to a much less degree. My personal life became a shambles – family, finances, and my mental stability.  All simply because I trusted someone who said she was a Christian, but was a snake instead.

So I pray you learn from my own example.  Be careful whom you let into your confidence.  When the time is right, he will spout his venom which will infect your system – and paralyze, to a certain extent, your daily Christian walk.
BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!
Take this warning from one who was infected greatly by “A Christian Wolf.”

Jesus said “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.”  (John 10:1-5)

Jesus wants us to be so intimate in relationship with Him that we will easily hear His voice when He calls.  We learn especially through reading the Word of God.  With deep intimate, relationship with Jesus, we will know not to listen to the voice of The Christian Wolf or The Poisonous Snake.

“Everybody is not your friend.  Just because they hang around you and laugh with you doesn’t mean they are for you.  Just because they say they got your back, doesn’t mean they won’t stab you in it.  People pretend well.  Jealousy sometimes doesn’t live far.  So know your circle.  At the end of the day, real situations expose fake people.  So pay attention.” (Author Unknown)

I pray you also never become a Christian wolf or a poisonous snake.  If you are, I pray the blood of Jesus against you to bind that spirit of evil so that only good come from you.  May only Christ live and reign in your heart.  (It’s easy to become a Christian wolf, a poisonous snake.)

  1. A great word of wisdom. Thank you.

I’m so sorry for what happened. Inner circle betrayal is brutal. I know this truth personally.

May I ask if there were any warning signs? Perhaps things you dismissed along the way because you thought you were overreacting? The reason I ask is because in my case, looking back I can see there were some red flags I chose to dismiss. The good was really good, but I did ignore a few strong warnings.

Not every situation has those clues. As I listen to my God given intuition, I sense those feelings earlier and respond immediately. I suppose that comes with age :)…

Thanks again for sharing. Take care.
