Wilderness Christians – A Real Vacation In Christ Is Needed
CHRIST IN YOU move in & calls you to rest.
You actually vacate as Christ moves in. You take a vacation from your Christian walk. Jesus takes over and lives His life through you.
Brethren, make your vacation a very long one for the remainder of your earthly life – a vacation resting in His unconditional love and acceptance. You do not take a passive rest being inactive; it is a rest in HIS activity. What a truly exciting life we do possess! Do not miss it anymore, brethren!
Understand that if you do your best for Jesus, you really are doing nothing. Jesus said, “Without Me ye can do nothing” (John 15:5). Therefore, all you do without Him as the origin is nothing.
You can be very busy in your Christian walk doing nothing. This may even occur for 40 years, just like the Israelites – dumped in the desert. Are you dumped in the desert?
Remember that all you do without Him is nothing. This may even occur unto death. You will die and be buried in the desert sand with hardly anyone remembering you as a Christian. You will be redeemed and welcomed into His Kingdom, but you will not enjoy the full abundant life NOW – the life of Christ that Jesus spoke about in John 10:10. “I am come that they may have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” What a sad testimony! A Christian, a child of God buried in the wilderness.
Face truth. Jesus did not come to earth just to save you a place in heaven (True this is.). He also came to get God out of heaven and back into you, NOW. He died for you then 2000 years ago so He can live in you NOW. As Jesus said, “ He who has seen me has seen the Father,” you can say, “ He who sees me sees Christ in me.” Jesus desires to be God in you the same way the Father was God in Him.
No wonder the Christian life is so exciting. No wonder all were astonished at His preaching. He lived on earth as man the way God created man to live – totally dependent on the Father. This Christian life truly is such a joy. To share His love with others, you will not have to go knocking door-to-door as is much the norm in carnal Christianity. When people truly and purely see the love of Christ in you, they will flock to you. They will be knocking on your door and ringing your telephone.
Is this not what happened to Jesus when He lived as a man on earth? He never needed to knock on doors to witness the Father’s love to people. The crowds always flocked to Him, just as sheep without a shepherd. They saw God the Father in action in Jesus the man. They specifically saw the love of God in a man. Awesome!
Brethren, this in NORMAL Christian living. Do not sell yourself short and live in the wilderness. Go into the Word of God yourself and let the Holy Spirit prove it to you.
Glory to God forever!
